Introduction to Dorrit's board work

Creating results with others is the key to my success. I have demonstrated this in the financial industry, the IT sector, central administration, the education sector, and as a consultant in turnaround and other change projects.

My career has been both international and domestic to Denmark. Building bridges between disciplines and people is essential for achieving results. This principle began with my education in Cand.Merc.Dat (Master of Computer Science and Business Administration) and remains valid today.

I actively contribute to strategic decision-making, governance, and oversight. My focus is to ensure alignment between the company’s vision and operational goals while fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Experience and Competencies

Below is an overview and some short cases from my time on various boards, where my contributions have clearly made a difference to the company’s results, culture and strategy.

Business Establishment

Founding companies from idea generation to establishment, including developing business models. Additionally, driving growth-focused business development with an emphasis on sales acceleration. In banking entities established abroad, special attention is required to coordinate with headquarters and foreign units.
During my time at Nordea, I established new foreign entities and led projects implementing Nordea's standard concepts and technology.

Corporate Transformation

Leading turnaround initiatives or facilitating expansion or succession planning. This involves strategic development, analysis, action plans, organization, and implementation.

In the financial industry, the public sector and in the educational industry, I have successfully revived stalled projects using my expertise in organizational psychology.

Value Optimization

Ensuring the best quality for the money by evaluating business models concerning economy, purpose, and strategy.

As an investor, I worked on expanding Deedster internationally. At Skt. Josefs School, I reassessed operations to future-proof the school while focusing on leadership succession and governance improvements.

Business Understanding and Sales Promotion

A holistic approach (360-degree view), aligning ideas, business operations, people, and financial foundations into a sustainable enterprise.

As a board chairperson at Njorda, I headed a revitalization of the founders’ ideas in a new strategic process.

I am curious and frequently ask challenging questions with a particular focus on risk management, in the broad sense.
